Flying can take a toll on our bodies in many ways, from jet lag to dehydration. For flight attendants, who spend long hours on planes and travel across different time zones, maintaining healthy and glowing skin can be a challenge. However, flight attendants have developed some effective skincare habits that help them look and feel their best, even when they are constantly on the go. In this blog post, we will explore the secrets of how flight attendants can have glowing skin, and provide some practical tips that anyone can use to keep their skin looking fresh and healthy, no matter how much they travel.

Tips on how to have healthy skin for flight attendants:

  1. Makeup Removal: Always remove your makeup after a flight, even if you’re exhausted. Use organic coconut oil on a cotton ball and wash your face with mild soap and warm water after.
  2. Deep Cleansing: Exfoliate with a product that is gentle on your face, such as coconut oil mixed with coffee grounds. Rinse it off with clean warm water and use ice-cold water to help the pores close.
  3. Moisturizer: Use a natural ingredient, water-based moisturizer before applying your makeup to keep your skin from getting wrinkles. This is especially important for male flight attendants.
  4. Hydration Spray: Use a hydration spray to keep your face moisturized during the flight and prevent your makeup from looking thick and cakey. We recommend Evian Water Spray.
  5. Body Cream/Lotion or Natural Oil: Moisturize your body with cream, lotion, or natural oil, such as coconut or argan oil, before going for a flight or before going to bed to keep your skin moisturized and prevent it from getting dry, flaky, and itchy.
  6. Hand Cream/Oil: Keep your hands moisturized and soft by using hand cream after every wash, especially since you are required to wash your hands very often during the flight.
  7. Water: Drink plenty of water during the flight to combat the dry air in the cabin and keep your body hydrated. This will help prevent dry skin and dryness of your mucous membrane.
  8. Take Vitamins: Take supplements like vitamins to get the nutrients you need since the food onboard is usually pre-cooked, frozen, and re-heated.
  9. Eat Organic and Raw Foods: Eating plenty of vegetables and fruits rich in antioxidants and vitamins and minerals is good for your whole body, including your skin.
  10. Get Enough Sleep: Sleep for at least 8 hours to give your body enough time to repair itself, and to prevent a decrease in blood flow to the skin surrounding your face.
  11. Exercise: Engage in regular exercise to keep your body healthy, and to maintain good blood flow to the skin.

Working as a flight attendant is not easy, but following these skin care tips can help you maintain healthy, glowing skin. Take care of your skin, and it will take care of you!
